GWR Records was a UK based record label founded in 1986, probably most famous for housing most of the 80's releases of Motorhead. Also among the roster were bands like Girlschool, Wendy O. Williams, Sword, Mekong Delta, Killer Dwarves and other mostly Thrash, Punk and Hardcore bands. The GWR was an acronym for "Great Western Road" which was their office address in London at the time. The label, as it was known, folded in 1992.
