Scotty's Bar Tee

Wisconsin, as in most other places, is filled with lost local landmarks that go largely undocumented, especially if they were around before the internet days.  They were mostly locally known as opposed to a destination spot.  This holds true for Scotty’s Bar in Antigo.  By all accounts it was a strip club back in the 70’s and all that is left of this, apparently short lived, hole in the wall are the stories of those who remember it, like these from the Antigo Nostalgia page on Facebook;

“My sisters and our husbands went in there one night and weren’t expecting what we got; Some girl danced on the bar and landed on Joe’s face and broke his glasses!  Not that he noticed…”

“They had disco cage dancers for a while, as I recall....Scotty’s that is, not the toy store next door, but one is easily confused with the other..”

“My boyfriend and his buddies weren’t tall enough to see in the windows so they got me up on one of the guys’ shoulders and had me tell them everything I saw…Until we got busted by the cops".
