The Design

Here’s a real old school one from Appleton, WI.  Dag’s Burgers was a car hop drive-in burger joint operating between 1959 and 1966, being one of the first fast food joint in the city.  It actually blew the up in 1967 due to a gas explosion.  As one Facebook poster recalls, “I remember when it blew up…Raw patties and cheese powder everywhere!” After the fire it was then rebuilt as Dag-Mars and eventually just renamed Mars Burgers in the early 70’s until it closed around 1980.  Gotta love those 1960’s prices….15 cent “Beefy Boy” Burgers, 20 cent cheeseburgers and “10 for a buck” burger and fry specials.  Hell yeah.
